The Spanglish Mexican Restaurant

Wow! We've been meaning to go to this place for so long and are so sad we haven't gone before now! This place is fantastic, the salsa was some of the best I've ever had, the flavored waters taste like smoothies you get on a beach, the birria was 10/10. Absolutely incredible food, like I think it's our favorite Mexican restaurant we have ever been too, we wanna go back for dinner! They moved to a new place so now there are tons of places to sit so I expect you will not have a hard time finding a seat. The service was incredible as well! The atmosphere felt so authentic that if I blocked the outside windows it would feel like I was in Mexico! Highly recommend this place if you are looking for some good authentic fresh Mexican food!

The BEST dinner we’ve had as a family in a long time! The food was so good, everyone was stuffed but we kept eating because it was just that great. The chicken here is seriously top notch. I would have taken pictures of our food but it was too good and we ate it too fast lol Yose was such an amazing waitress too. Super helpful, knowledgeable, and just the sweetest presence. She helped us so much and made sure we were all ordering exactly what we wanted. And then they surprised us with a happy birthday song for our daughter and her best friend. It was just the best night ever, and we’re so glad we picked this place. Can’t wait until we can come back when we visit Utah again!

A must try Mexican restaurant in Layton! I ordered Surf & Turf Tacos order (3) they were amazing, loved their tortilla texture, they were filled with carne asada, shrimp and grilled cheese, really tasty. (The taco pic doesn’t do it justice, cause I already ate two of them when I took it, they were too good ) I ordered them with a side of green and red salsa since I’m not a big fun of spicy, their green salsa was perfect for my taste on the tacos. My wife tried their Pozole which is quite amazing very rich in flavor and a lot of pork and mahogany corn very flavorful. She Loved it! I also got their delicious Cafe de la Olla. Yoseline brought us chips and salsa, we really like their salsa, it’s mild and with lots of flavor. We loved their traditional decoration, and attention to detail in every aspect of their restaurant. Yoseline did a terrific job. Compliments to the Chef. We will definitely come back and recommend it.

We ordered the classic burrito, LA hotdog, birria enchilada. Food was great and our server Yoshi was great also. Food came out quick, she was friendly and always checked on us. 2nd time being here will definitely be back again!!

Was pleasantly delighted by Spanglish! Cute decor and amazing food! The salsa was pretty good, always a good indicator of a good Mexican food restaurant. We'll be back with friends!

I've been wanting to try the new Spanglish full-sized restaurant in Layton, and I was very pleased at what they've done. They're located in what used to be the Imperial Dragon (across from McDonalds), and have done an amazing job remodeling. Very nice menu selection, prices a bit above average but they do offer good discounts for military, first responders, and I believe teachers. We each had different dishes and enjoyed them all! We had pozole; grilled pork chop & cactus; and I had shrimp fajitas which were *amazing*!! My only comment on the fajitas is there is no place to fill your tortilla and the goodies are too hot to hold! I'm very happy we went and will definitely go back again!

We’ve come multiple times. Every time we come the food is amazing. I’ve gotten friends hooked on their food as well. Tonight my husband had the surf and turf tacos, and said they were really good (high praise from him as most other places the food gets “It’s ok”), I had the chicken enchiladas with white sauce, my daughter had a tamal, an enchilada, and a taco combo, and my son had the house fries and French toast. Great flavors for all of them. We also got cucumber lime agua frescas, which were yummy, too. Thanks Spanglish for a great night out!

Totally thought this was going to be a counter service place from the signage, but it's a legit restaurant. A new, super clean, and nice restaurant at that. The menu is massive and has a lot of great options. They even have vegan and vegetarian options for those who need it. We may make this our weekly spot
